It Was Our Time to Shine. This was Fnalbf o1ir year,' we were the ones everyone watched . . . the Seniors of '79. With the class motto stating Nothing can he jiner than to he a seventy-niner, each and every day we strived to live our motto to the fullest. To make each day more meaningful became an ohsession as we realized this was our last time around This was our last chance to show the underclassmen just how much L. D. Bell meant to us. It was our time to shine, and we were being watched. . . Seniors of '79, ' A - Seniors enjoy their release periods. l A We Took the Initiative ana' Led the Way. We headed straight for the top. We set a goal and workedjhr an entire year to put together the biggest Student Council conference of the year, the National Associational Student Council Conference. Members from every cluh and organization worked long hard hours to prepare for about 1500 students from all over the United States to come to Hurst, Texas and participate in a week-long convention. L. D. Bell was the center of attention across the entire nation. We worked hard and proved ourselves capable of putting forth 1 1096. Once again, thousands stopped to Focus On Usf A - Banquet night at the Fairmont Hotel in Dallas.
