F Girls Shed Skirts For Slocks At School Centralites continued to use LC for their academic and extra-curricular activities. During school hours, they prepared for college or vocations, but dismissal tones released them for clubs, sports, homework or iobs. Students pushed for a dress code t revision. Through administrative and student effort changes evolved. The evident switch was that some girls shed skirts and wore slacks, shorts and unpleated culottes. An increased enrollment presented problems. Hall traffic became more congested, lunch lines lengthened. The addition of four portable classrooms helped relieve the problem of overcrowded classes. To provide for the growing LC population, fou if ' portables, previously at Belzer, serve as ad ditional classrooms for Centralites. Slacks, bermudas and unpleated culottes an now a part of Centralites' dress with the pas sage of a new, liberalized dress code. sr W 5 5313355533 31,5 ii is S Q ggsifsfiili siwiii f if is sf 5 l Collage 3
