Pep sessions stimulate school spirit ENTHUSIASM radiates from the 300 girls of the organized Lawrence Central Booster Club in the form of many intricate and sparkling cheers. These girls seek to arouse school spirit and spur the Bears on to victory. Membership to the Booster Club is open to any girls who wish to fulfill the strict requirements of attending all home games and giving her loyal support to the team. The only qualifications for membership are that the applicants have a bubbling enthusiasm and must be willing to boost the Bears on to victory. Marks of distinction to the club members are the white blouses and maroon and white gloves. Under the direction of Mrs. Joan Piercefield, Miss Joanna Somers, and the cheerleaders, the Lawrence Central Bears receive the devoted loyalty and enthusiastic support of the Booster Club. Boosting the Bears victoriously, LC delegates dis- played spirit throughout the year. Important rival games were sparked with afternoon pep sessions and skits. Classes whole-heartedly cheered with popular competitive yells, and cheerleaders introduced new cheers for the games and proudly praised the coaches and team members. Spirit sparked new ideas and '4Maroon and Gray Daysw were declared. Loyal Centralites and teachers sported school colors in patriotic dress. Fans continued wearing tags with creative slogansg corridors were lined with colorful posters.
