The past year has been one of rapid growth in school enrollment. In September the new Lawrence Elementary School No. 4 was opened with an enrollment of over 630. In December the lZ-class- room junior hi h school was com- pleted for the E39 junior high school pupils who had been on a halfday schedule. Planning and producing the yearbook under such conditions has been a real challenge to the staff. If the students and teachers enjoy their books when they receive them--if they find in the pages high points in the year's activities---if they consider their books things to be cherished in future years---the staff will feel they have performed the service they were expected to perform. They meet regularly with their advisor, Mr. Shyrl fildadaazg ammdttee Craig, and act as spokesmen for the student body. ' The students show excellent judgment in electing representatives for their respective classes. The advisory committee has earned the confidence and respect of the pupils, the teachers, and the administrators. For several years the committee has been made up of four seniors and two representatives from each of the other classes. This year it was expanded to include the presidents of the three upper classes. Committee members choose one of their group to act as chairman. This year David Riegel, president of the senior class, was also honored by being chosen to serve as president of the advisory committee Here the members are pictured as they ascend the stairs for their meeting in the pr1nc1pal's office Everybody's looking up' SECOND ROW H R Wolf David Rlegel Johnny Powell Irene Kelly Mr ShyrlCra1g THIRD ROW David Ziegler Bob Wilcox and Don O Rear efcztcana FRONT ROW, L-lk Glenda Lael, Phil Zappia, Kennetha Hoppes, Dean Bough, Becky Mason, Mike Wampler. 0 o o o Alvfm' ,aur 'WH' -,X fi r We Y A 'Q-rj? 4. s ..
