The Bears won 4 of ll games but came through in the pinch in trouncing two Mid-State rivals, Brownsburg and Mooresville. The Bears, in taking the newly organized Capitol District Conference, and finishing second to Southport in the county, piled up 261 points to their opponents 52, averaging 29 per game. The only mar on this nearly perfect record was 6 to 6 deadlock with Warren Central. Five out of the eight victories were shutouts and Knightstown Morton Memorial was the only eleven to score more than one touchdown against the Bears. Both co-captains,Irving Kirby and Dan Siler, along with Bill Strange were picked for all-county berths. Don Crawford and jim Carr were selections for the second team. Twenty-two letters were awarded and with eleven of these returning, the outlook for next year should not be dim. Sf .
