glam! On September 1 , 1941 , a group of 14 young children met and were ready to begin their school life. Knowing twelve years later they would go their seperate ways. A lot of fussing , fighting, and studying hasn 't darkened the days for we have always had a big time together. Carlene Willis, Melba Dean, Bobby Landers, and J. L. Edwards started and are finishing together. With a few dropping out and a few drifting in, these have stayed to face what came in the future years. Donald Saverance started with us, but by the second year he had moved away to Novice. Faye Aldridge came drifting in from down Goldsboro way the second year to remain the next ten years. Tommy Smith joined our now happy band in the third year from Spurg he also has lasted the rest of the time. From that time we had smooth sailing until our freshman year and then the class went apart like wet bread. Geanenne Willis and Nancy Sanders., who started with us, then left us for a happy married life. During our Sophomore year Fern Willis and Peggy Weeks joined the ranks of marriage. Alvin Edwards had gone to Lawn off and on, but joined us to stay our Sophomore year. Again, during the junior year, more of the class who had suffered with us left for marriageg this time it wasJuanitaCope1and and Yvonne Hudson. Peggy Parsons came from Breckenridge and Donald Saverance from Novice. We are now leaving Lawn High School a happy class.
