Class Will The time has drawn near and we, the Seniors of '53, have gotten our heads together and decided that we the fortunate, need to leave some of our wonderful talents and abilities to the less fortunate of our dearly beloved school, namely the under classmen. First and foremost we should like to leave to the school, our ini- tials carved in desks and the gum left under the tables and chairs. To all the teachers, we leave a box of aspirins and arsenic, in case they may have the desire to use it. To the Juniors, we leave our ability to think up freshmen initiation stunts. To the Sophomores, we leave our ability to conduct an orderly class meeting. To the Freshmen, we leave our good manners and good behavior. And then each of the Seniors have made out their wills. Dewayne Hauth wills his wooden leg to anyone who can handle one. Wayne Howard wills his bleached blond hair to Miss Rugh Jones. Johnnie Marker wills his slimness to Johnnie Stubbs. Billy Meyer wills his graceful walk to Shirley Aylett and Patsy Carlisle. Donald Hennigh wills his job as president of the Senior class to Peggy 0'Connor Rose Myers and Lois Shelinbarger leave their giggles to Gloria Marteney. Jack Shuman wills his ability to chew snuff in class to Jim Chockley. Garrold La Munyon leaves his way of catching Texas women to Clavin Luck. Norval Bourquin wills his bold ways to Billy Bowker. Marilyn Adams wills her ability to play basketball to Alma Dean Lacrone. Curtis Anderson wills his married life to Lawrence Deal. Bertah Albin leaves her gift of gab to Carl Bentley and taste for red hair to Beverly Pemberton. Joy Brinson wills her forgetfulness to Carol Sue Albin. Donna Jo Sparks wills her great height to Shirley McAfee.

sailors participated in the sports world this lap. When it was time for their eleventh lap they were ready to weigh anchor with Betty Jones as their new sailor and Mr. and Mrs. Oakes for their captains. They had a Junior Play nDesperate Ambrosen which issued a lot of gun play and for weeks you could hear people saying I have notches in my notches.U They also had a Junior and Senior Banquet which was decorated as a night club. K That brings them to the last lap of a long prosperous struggle. The sailors acquired a few new members who were Rose Myers, Cody Miller, and June Richards and as their captains they elected Miss Ruth Jones and Mr. L, W. Woolbright to guide them through quite an exciting year. At last they had their revenge by initiating the freshmen but we really wonder who got the initiation, the Freshmen or the Seniors? The sailors finally received their Senior pictures after struggling, working, and waiting twelve long years for them. They published the school annual which proved to be a lot of hard work, but fun. They also presented another play, A banquet was given to them by the Junior Class. Then they took their final voyage together, their Senior Trip, and then their graduation exercises followed.
