Through ..,...., E e . 2' 5 1 Q 23 s Y the dust, Mrs. Rotena Largent, the instructor, distinguishes the F 5 little figures as Gene Aldridge, Verl Kamp, Ralph Ross, Patsy Riggs, ,,E and Margaret Stuart. gg The next year finds these five with Elsie Long in the second , E grade of their school career. Miss Opal wells pushes us to the 5rd Q grade where Miss Irene Smalley takes us in hand. With Raymond Cly- - 5 born added to our number, we pass to the 4th grade where Miss J 5 f Winifred Gantt awaits us as our teacher. , :QQ I v with all our trials and troubles, we finally got into the 5th 74. grade, where that wonderful lady, Mrs. Pat Aldridge, helped us iii along that term of school. Two important events happened this year, igg we moved into the new school building and Robert Kelly joined our H2 class. a , The next year, we had our first experience with a male teacher, Z Mr. Bruce Hale. Many visited the library where his paddle was 'f' kept, but with the help of Harold D. Berry, Donna Hart, and Delvin F. V Jett, we finally made it back to the old school house and the il, M seventh grade. 'fi . A ' Dorotha Lawton Qwhich is not pronounced Dorotheaj, Richard y E Anderson, Betty Hudson finished our last year of grade school with 7'f us. This year our class contributed to the war effort by selling ,gg the most scrap iron and war bonds. With ,g4 Lola Faye Kimvall and Polly Dinwiddie to help us along, this was iii our most inactive high school year. Oh, yes, we did go through the - Q insane asylum. Luckily, we all escaped! This year, Margaret was lf? President, Delvin was Vice-President, and Ramona Merett, was Secretary 2-L and Mr. Lipsett was our sponsor. 5, ff were we ever busy in our Junior year, with the play and the r'G banquet taking most of our time.
