The Vees' playing strategy features speed and deception. A unique feature of this team, consisting almost totally of Northerners, is their height. Ours is the tallest team in the league. The future looks bright for the Vees, as they lost only two players to graduation this year. Midas st' Women's Basketball Definately Laurentian's number one team this year, the 1981-82 women's basketball team was led by probably the best guards in the league, Linda Palango, Debbie Knowles, and Joy Bellinger. The women lost only one league game and finished first in the East division and hosted the Ontario Finals. l.aurentian's outstanding forward Barb Tucker was an all star at both the Regina and Saskatoon tournaments.
