Halloween night - a haunting event R20 xx pf s... ..... , 4 ,,,f 5 ...A ' 31 1 Many students may feel that the pub is no place for ghosts or sorcerers, but on Thursday, October 29, 1981, the pub was alive with spirits. 'Twas Halloween night, and the majority of students appeared in costume. You may remember sharing your table with the devil, step- ping on a leopard's tail while dancing, having a conver- sation in pantomime or feeling that tingling sensation as death won yet another game of pool. ' Vampires, sailors, cowboys and clowns, vikings, mice and a bumblebee as well as many unidentifiable monsters were on the loose that night. The fun con- tinued into the witching hour, when presentations for best costume were awarded, and on until closing time, which brought an end to a haunting evening.
