Senior leadership will deter- mine the outcome of next year's season. That's the way it should be, continued Comis. We showed signs of being good this year but I think we will have more talent than ever next year. We have 10 returning lettermen and 5 of them are Seniors. They guys are really enthusiastic about next year and are willing to put last year's season behind them and look forward to an even better season on the next go round.

The Lancers had their first winning season in six years, ending the season with a 10-8 record. According to baseball head coach, Jim Comis, lt was a bit- tersweet season, the sweet part was that we had the best season we had had in a while. The disap- pointing part was the tact that though we did not make it to the play-offs, we had previously beaten Tunstall, the Piedmont District champs by a score of 9- 2, and Martinsville, the second place winners, by a score of 8- O. 76 Baseball - s t- ,Q , S' - . .. 5 VM as X Koss- ki X-,W .
