-- From Prom To Graduation , l Memories can be happy tor some and sad for others as shown by Elizabeth Holland at the Senior Assembly. His job as director of the assembly, as well as em- cee, is over for Danny Herring as he watches the rest of the class march onto the stage, 20 Last Days billed for Seniors Only. The featured group for the event was Molly Hatchet. At 1:00 a.m., they were back on the bus - now more crowded than before with all their prizes and purchases, and at 6:00 a.m. they reached at LP. parking lot. Senior days tno longer Senior Weekl brought Teaching Day, and un- authorized picnic, and the morning that they had talked about for most of the year - the Senior Assembly. Dr. Wolfe told them that their assembly was the best one he had seen and most of them agreed. After the traditional commercial breaks, the impersonations of their teachers, the dancers, the singers, the senior superlative announcements and the slide show, they changed places with the class of 1981 and left for the rest of the day. After Senior Days it was hard to think of anything but graduation. The day ol their last exam Seniors signed one another's yearbooks on the lawn. shared potatoe chips, and memories and tossed a frisbee. Then on Friday night they heard Rev. Thurmond Eccles twho had been their substitute teacher so often that he seemed like one of the facultyl give their baccalaureate ser- mon. Usually full of laughs, Gene Teague becomes all business when he takes on the responsibilities of assistant principal on Senior Teaching Dayg here he gives Karen Kuykendall a hall pass. Cheryl Elliott needs another hair pin for he cap as she marches into the auditorium for Bac calaurate. Best friends to the end, Cheryl Bryant and Bon- nie May do their sad skit at the assembly.
