UTeachers have it easyg they already know it. This is a very familiar quote from many stu- dents, no matter what school or what age. Whether you are a teacher or the observant student in the classroom, this is probably heard at least two or three times a day. Learning material at the begin- ning of the year is mostly review to you and also the teachers. As the year goes by, more and more is taught and it becomes much harder to learn. That's when this famous quote usually comes in handy. Tests on top of tests and quizzes on top of quizzes seem to keep piling up. One teacher said, UAfter a while, taking the tests and grading each paper sometimes becomes a hassle. But you keep on pushing because no matter what you do or try you'll always be learning, whether it's old or new things. So when the familiar quote is handed to you, you may reply Theres always room to learn! 154 Faculty Hagwood To Moore James Hagwood: Bluefield State College, B.S. Now, the teacher can teach. No, wait a minute. This is Wed- nesday - club day - the first three periods are shortened to thirty minutes. Or maybe it's Fri- day and there's a pep rally sixth period, so fifth and sixth periods are shortened. Or maybe it's the first week in October and your students are spending five days taking SBA tests. Or it's the day for the three-hour junior movie. Or the guidance counselor is coming to talk to your students. lf I could just teach . .. Mrs. Barker, sponsor of FFA and Senior Class, is pleased with a report. Dickerson To Hager Faculty 153
