Well, here it is -the one, the only, first annual senior survey. We asked six questions of the class and here are the answers. Do you have a job? Sixty-one per- cent said yes and forty percent no. Some ofthe more unusual ones were at Teresa's School of Baton and Dance, Hampco, Byrd's Store, and assistant secretary for a dentist. Do you plan to go to college? Fifty-nine percent yes, seventeen percent no and the rest undecided. Most seniors were planning to go to Patrick Henry, but William and Mary, U.VA., Mary Washington, VCU and Old Dominion were frequent choices. If you do not go to college, what will you do? Sixty-five percent said that they would go to business or trade school, twenty percent to work and in third place was being a housewife. Do you think the past twelve years have helped prepare you for college or work? Fifty percent said yes, the rest ranged from some to not at all. lf the presidential election were held today, how would you vote? Contrary to national opinion, Jimmy Carter defeated Ronald Reagan by a two to one margin. John Anderson took seven percent of the vote. Do you think that men and women should be registered and drafted? Thirteen percentsaid that young men should be registered but not drafted, seventeen percent said that young men and women should be registered and drafted and forty-four percent said that neither should be registered nor drafted. And that's the way it is for the Class of '81, Tony Earles and Todd Marlowe play the fight song during the Drewry Mason game which the Lancers won 20-17. Seniors White to Young 123
