Here they are, the Class of 81, telling everyone below them that We're No. 1. eniors Being a senior has a special significance. Suddenly you are face to face with the fact that soon you will be leaving a very important part of your life. Soon you will have to take care of yourself, on June 6, seniors suddenly become adults. Being a senior is fun, but it's also a little sad and just a little scary, said Mary Hodges. Being a senior, adds Lisa Bryant, is to be on top and to be a leader. Lower classmen look up to seniors for leadership, so all seniors should try to set good examples. ln contrast, Norma Dove feels that being a senior means nothing. I have dreamed of my last year in high school and what it would be like. Well, it's nothing like I dreamed. Be- ing a senior means working like a dog trying to get a bone out of the ground after it has frosted overnight. Lavesia Dillard sums up the general feeling: Being a senior means being able to face life's realities - a time when, you realize you're not a little child anymore, a time to start taking on more respon- sibility and learning to cope with life's problems. 112 Seniors Adams to Bailey .fs P Bryan Keith Adams: Spanish Club 9, 10, 113 Mu Alpha Theta 10, 11, 12, Scholars' Program 10, 11, 123 Tennis 9, 10, 11, 123 Monogram Club 10, 11, 12, Boys' State: National Honor Society 11, 12.
