Directors-Laurel Highlands School District H Ma mfH 1 ' 5 SEATED: Mr. Eric Kerr, Mr. Frank Carolla, Mr. Urban Dumbauld, Superintendent Harry Davison, Mr. Fred Bartock. IN MEMORIAM Urban C. Dumbauld Born - April 8, 1904 Died- December 25, 1971 Urban Dumbauld was a true Educator. Forty-seven years of his life were devoted to Education. He started his teaching career in 1925 and came to North Union School District in 1937. For 25 years, until his retirement in 1962, he inspired young people with his phi- losophy of life and love of country, as well as with facts. He challenged each student to strive constantly to do his very best. He maintained his interest in our schools follow- ing his retirement, and in 1967 was elected to the Laurel Highlands School Board. He served it as secretary and vice-president and had been elected President shortly before his death. He had represented the Board at meetings on the new Laurel Highlands Senior High School, and had watched closely each phase of its construction. His contributions to the schools of this area have been many- He will be remembered.
