Facts and principles or rules which are used to explain what you know and to help you discover what you still don,t know, make up the heart of science. Courses in biology, chemistry, and physics enable the Laurel High student to in- crease his understanding of his surroundings. For individuals especially interested in the field of science, Laurel High has an annual science fair and invites students to attend various science symposiums held throughout the area. Physics students determine the mechanical advantage and efficiency of pulley systems.
