The Cheerleading Squad is com- posed of seven girls clad in the tradi- tional blue and gold of Laurel High. Responsible for the promotion of school spirit, the cheerleaders cheer at games, conduct pep rallies for the student body, and sell school banners and pins. Each spring tryouts for the selection of cheerleaders for the coming year are held. Applicants are judged and selected by the faculty and incumbent cheer- leaders.
