As written in its constitution, it has many essential respon- sibilities: to promote better understanding and cooperation between the student body and the faculty, to represent Laurel High School in all activities, and to provide for the exercising of democratic usagesf, Many activities throughout the school year are sponsored by the Student Council. Each year Homecoming activities, including the Homecom- ing game, a dance, and the crowning of a queen, provide a highlight and gala conclusion for the football season. A safety check, for the purpose of inspecting all safety equipment on automo- biles owned by the residents of our community, is another activity sponsored by the Student Council. Sims, Secretaryg R.
