The Best of Times The 1983 Jr-Sr Prom was a great success. Janet Little and Kevin Ketterling announced Prom candidates. King and Queen were Pedro Rodriguez and Kristy Kinney. The gymnasium was decorated with purple, lavender and silver crepe paper. You could dance in the light of the mirror-ball and around the simulated silver fountain. The 1983 Prom will never be forgotten. 1. The envelope please. Prom candidates wait patiently for the King and Queen to be announced. 2. Anticipation. Everyone eagerly awaits the final decision. 3. Dancing the night away. Pedro and Kristy dance the spotlight dance. 4. Pretty snazzy couple. Mark Massad and Liz Maida walk through the heart. 29

Tea IIP Girls Enjoy The 1983 Senior Girls Tea was a success. The Senior girls and their mothers enjoyed it very much. The Laurel Women’s Club put on the Tea at the Methodist Church. The Club has put on a Senior Tea for 15 years; they have been an organization for 75 years. The welcome speech was given by Marilyn Wright. For entertainment two women from Hart-Albin showed different styles of clothing. They also explained to the girls and their mothers how they became successful clothing buyers. There were varieties of foods from small luncheon sandwiches to cookies, tea, coffee, and punch. 65 Senior girls, 58 mothers, and 5 guests shared at the tea. Senior 1. What a selection. The daughters and mothers are wondering which food to choose next. 2. On with the show. The girls and mothers wait for the next speaker. 3. What a group of ladies. The girls wait for the action to begin.
