IN MEMORIUM Mary Lou Taylor transferred from Fromberg at the beginning of her senior year. Mary Lou was active in track, pep club, and FHA as an unde rcl assm an. Catherine VanNice had a warm glowing personality which will always be remembered at LSH. Cathy was active in the MYF and was a wrestling cheerleader. Take Care Of Them, Lord By Janetta Smith The weekend was young, And so were they. O Lord, why did you take them away? They had so much to live for They had so much to give. O Lord, why didn't you let them live? One was a sophomore, age sixteen. She was a cheerleader For the wrestling team. Active in school, church and around Now she sleeps peacefully under the ground. Leaving behind her only a memory. Take care of her, Lord, For we all loved Cathy tenderly. The other was a senior, a transfer Who came to our school At the beginning of this year. She loved fun, And friends showed her our town. Now she too sleeps Peacefully under the ground. She too is up in heaven, There with you. Take care of her, Lord, For we all loved her--Mary Lou. Sadness comes on days like these, And we never understand the tragedies. All we have to hold are the memories. Dear Lord, give us the strength To go on—we pray, And may we all meet in Heaven With you some day.
