They sold candy, hot dogs, and sundaes after school to earn money for the Prom and Banquet on May 2. They sponsored a Halloween Dance on October 31. Their class play, “I Remember Mama, was directed by Miss Audrey Helbing. The candidates for the Laurel Leaves Queen were—Shirley Koch, Judy McLamon, Laurie Adams, and Marilyn Erickson. Marilyn Erickson was crowned queen. The candidates for the Laurel Leaves King were—Bob Schessler, John Lawson, Tony De-Carlo, and Dick Fritzler. Bob Schessler was crowned king. The candidates for Girls’ State were—Louanne Campbell, Ann Bishop, Sharen Foote, Marilyn Erickson, La Rue Ostwalt, Joyce Jorden, and Wilma Kamp. Louanne Campbell and Ann Bishop were chosen as the representatives. Delegates for this year’s Boys’ State are: Jay Kaiserman, Lloyd Vadnais, and Bob Schessler. 29
