Runner took scormg honors with 41 points over Rho-des, on our home floor, with only two experienced players.

Collecting our thlrd wln of the season we. defeated Van Clexc with a close half tlnxe score of Zl I9 lxcn though we lost Ben-.km and W1-ge rhof ua the foul route tn the second half we succeeded ln dcfeatmg tho. nm 47 to 35 Runner was hugh for the exenlng with 3Z Laurel xs LeGrand The fourth game on our home court found us meeting one of the county s strongest sextets LeGrand lt was one of the closest contests of the season but with excellent ball handling we managed to defeat them 37 to 35 Scormg honors went to Mary Runner wlth 18 points Laurel x s Montour The Laurel gtrls journeyed to Montour for their first game away from their home court The game ended Z3 to 36 Montour the -.lctors Laurel s scoring was evenly dn lded with Runner collecting 8 points and Johnston and Ryner each having 7 Laurel ss LaMo1lle Our second game away Laurel defeated LaMo1lle 31 to 19 ohnston was hugh scorer with 14 points The entire squad saw action as Wxsger hof Ryner and Runner fouled out Laurel ss Rhodes Traveling to Rhodes for our second mcounter w1th the sc rappy Rhodes sextet who were out to even the score as we had defeated them on our home court After a close hard fought game we were downed 31 to 33 half ttme score was 19 to 19 Laurel xs State Center In one of our better games of the season we were de feated by State Center The half time score was Z3 to 23 The game ended 43 to 47 We lost our entire back court Benskm Mann Paul and Wtsgerhof and a forward Ryner Mary Runner was high wlth 29 points Laurel vs LeGrand We next met LeGrand on thetr floor they were out for venge as we had defeated them earller tn the season on our home court We were defeated only after a hard fought game half time score was Z3 17 fmal score 37 to 26 Mary Runner was hugh with 19 Laurel vs Gilman We were caught off guard by Gilman and were tralllng behind at the half 23 to 20 But at the third quarter we had creeped ahead 4 polnts Gam ended with score of 40 to 32 ln our favor Runner was hlgh wtth Z4 pomts Johnston and Ryner each had 8 Laurel vs Green Mountatn We next came up agamst the strong Green Mountam Squad The score at the half was 18 to 19 ln Green Mountam s fax or We lost Runner but not until she had collected 20 points Johnston was next hlgh wtth 13 while Ryner had 9 We defeated them 42 to 38 Laurel vs Gilman Th1s tlme we had easter gomg with Gilman Half time score was 21 to 9 m our favor The game ended with us leadmg 38 to 27 Runner was high wlth 22 pomts Johnston and Ryner had 8 Laurel vs Van Cleve. We traveled to Van Cleve to win our 9th victory. Scormg honors were evenly dlvlded with the reserves getting to see a great deal of action.
