444: JUN IOR CLAS ACTIVITIES Three years ago when the Freshmen of 43 appeared 1nclud1ng Mar1lyn Brown Lawnle Brown Harry Brown B11ly Lyle Donald A Paul Donald D Paul Robert Shlvely Gary Proctor M1nn1e EIWIR Bettyann Lafranz Ruth Halverson Delores Pllle Marxlyn Henry and Barbara Ray they started a very 1mportant phase 1n Laurel H1gh School s H1story The a.nt1c1pated day of n1t1at1on came as lt must to all Fresh1es and we showed up as p1gta1led bare footed plckanxnnles We all remember the sore knees we got from crawhng all day We gave the Sophomores a Halloween party 1n the school gyrnnaslurn enjoyed lt extremely We couldnt say the same for them however Other than th1s that second year was not as eventful as the others Durlng our three years 1n L H S four classmates have left us and we ve greeted a new member Alxce Muller Those that left were Donald D Paul Lawnle Brown Harry Brown and Mar1lyn Henry B rbara Ray rece1ved the pos1t1on of class presldent th1s year w1th M1nn1e Erw1n as VICE Pres1dent Allce Muller was chosen Secretary a.nd B111 Lyle Treasure We presented the Ju.n1or Class Play ent1tles GERTIE' UNCLE wh1ch proved to be a real success Our treasury grew larger also by selhng popcorn apples and pop at the home games Our class had a large attendance 1n all sports offered All the boys were out for e1ther basketball or baseball and all but two glrls 1n basketball The b1ggest occas1on of the year was the jumor Sen1or banquet Now we are looklng forward to the ne st and last year of our hlgh school career We hope lt w1ll prove as much fun and as successful as the f1rst three S Bl I9 - .
