1 Senior Ibigh Pep Club MISS VIERTEL, SPONSOR Some of the activities the forty-two members of the pep club have participated in throughout the year have been sponsoring the conces- sion stand during the Turkey tournament, marching in the homecoming parade, and participating in the half-time ceremonies at the home- coming football game. Cheerleaders The pep club is led in cheering by six cheerleaders, Susan Gowan, Barbara Foster, Suellen'Krueger, Ioyce Callison, Kay Baslee, and Nancy Long. They are Chosen in the student body elections held in the fall and serve throughout the school term. These girls lead in cheering at pep assemblies and at all athletic events .

Vocal Department Activities The Girls' Glee Club has participated in the Winter Concert, the annual Spring Concert, and the music contest. The Girls' Sextet has also participated in the concerts and have gone to the music contests at Warrensburg and Columbia. In addition they have sung at different civic clubs . The Boys' Quartet has sung at the Winter and Spring Concerts and participated in the music contests . The glee club, sextet, and quartet have sung a variety of music. The types of music they sing include spirituals, religious, classical, and semi-classical numbers. These groups are under the direction of Mrs . Margery Wright, head of the Vocal department.
