Rice Eddie Hatchell, Malcolm George Billy Clyde Parham BOYS' BASKETBALL The Red Raiders The Red Raiders ended a very successful season with an over-all record ol 12 victories and 8 losses. Eddie Hatchell, who averaged 19.1 points per game, Malcolm George, with an average of 14.7, and Junior Hunt averaging 8.9, paced the Latta boys to an average of 45.6 oints per game against 43.5 by their opponents. Otiers who played the most lor the Raiders were William Coleman, LaFon LeGette, and Walker Graham. Seniors on the team were Malcolm George, Eddie Hatchell, and Mack Gaddy. G6ing into the Conference Tournament, held on the home court, Latta had a record ol 10 victories and 6 losses. The Red Raiders took two successive victories from McColl and Lamar, but dropped the next two games to East Clarendon and Mayewood in the double-elimination tournament. Malcolm George was one ol five picked from the eight .teams in the tournament to be a member ol the All-Conference Team. This is the second year he has won that honor. Losing only two lrom the starting lineup, and ably coached by Mr. E. E. Rice, the Red Raiders are hoping lor another good season next year.
