During Karl's four years at Latin, he has won a host of friends through his good-natured personality. He has always been a good student. and has shone especially in this line this year. ln athletics Karl has shown himself to be hard working, heady, and dependable. Where he really scintillates, however, is on the golf courseg there one must certainly shoot par golf to keep up with his able driving and putting. A beautiful new Packard roadster recently took its place in the Schmid family, and we wonder if the speed- cops on the road to the Medinah Country Club will be able to catch up to it this summer or not. Thirteen years later zi handsome and congenial lad appeared at the old Latin School, where he remained for about fourteen school months, and then went to llanlius. After having had a taste of Latin, however, he could hardly be expected to stay away for any real length of time. And, like the sensible lad he is, he returned to Latin's welcoming bosom in the year 1925. Since that time Harold has earned for himself the reputation of being a conscienti- ous student, an entertaining companion, and an all-around good fellow. At the mention of Ross' name, one immediately pictures a happy, healthy, rosy-cheeked person with twinkling blue eyes and light hair. Perhaps they would also picture a snappy Buick roadster, which is the proud pos- session of said person. Harold intends to spend the next few years at the University of llichigan. Pau if
