He even drives to school now, and has developed sueh a liking for driving that it bids fair to super- sede his rumored fame as a saxophonist. Latin is so dear to Al, that he ean't hear to miss a day of school, and hesides. what would we do without the information obtained every evening over the telephone? Speaker: Frank Carter Nicholas. Scene: The home of ancient Greek culture. After a few soothing words from Teacher, the belligerent student is persuaded to take his seat. Yes, we must admit that Frank has the power of oratory and what is vulgarly known as sales resistance. Tallest and most sophisticated are two terms by which he is often described, but Nick will vehem- ently deny at least one of these so-called epithets. Although Frank was first brought under the Latin School yoke in seventh grade, he meand- ered off to Choate two years ago, and nothing was known of him until his return last fall. To do him justice, it must be admitted that Frank, who was born July 29, 1910, is one of the stars of the Virgil and Ancient History classes. He will pursue his search for knowledge at Yale next fall. Page 33

Having absorbed the offerings of staid old New England institutions. Pill decided to Complete his secondary training in Chicago, where an op- portunity was afforded to dispense reams of that elixir of life-Pillsburian philosophy. So Pill came: Crowe went: and Big Bill the Builderu threatened to resign. Although our hero leaves for more important conquests, he leaves behind a glittering array of pleasant memories. Vividly we see him on the basketball Court: breathlessly we watch his rhythmieal throws to the bases. His disdain for the fairer sex we never could fathom. They must be good in the East, for Pill says there 2lI'Cl1iI any in Chicago. Bourne, too, is a veritable o1'ator. His remarkable delivery at a recent assembly has the wise ones still gaping, and the efforts of the disturbers were of no avail.
