Senior Prefect, '23, i.,.'u-,i Harold C Benuv j Hodgson. our class presi- dent, was enrolled in C. L. S. one year ago lmt fall, just seventeen years from the day of his birth, July 28, 1900. In a short time he became one of the best-liked fellows in the school, being popular with boys in the Lower as well as in the Upper School, Hodgson goes out for all sports and is considered to be the best athlete in the school. Because of his exceptionally good passing, Latin was able to win most of her football games, and, if he hadn't been injured in the Parker game, we all feel sure that our last contest would not have been such a crushing defeat, As we all expected, Harold received the honor of being the Senior Prefect, which he well deserved. Joseph Halla, slr., otherwise known as Bib, was born on July S, 1909. Joe entered Latin in sixth grade, and has remained a steady customer at our institution. His fame lies in the masterly way in which he plays the banjo, and in his ability to imitate a foreigner attempting to speak the English lan- guage. For the last two or three years, students of the Latin School have been wondering who owns the disgusted voice which says, I wish to heck I could get out of this dumpfy Upon care- ful investigation we have found this voice to be none other than Halla's. Joe's friendly disposition has won him many friends and a high social position in the class. To enumerate all of his good qualities would take up too much space so this cannot go on. Although this may be only a rumor, nevertheless Bob's Heetness of foot is equaled only by the Heetness of his Chrysler 70 roadster. During the two years spent with us he has won our friendship and respect by his good sportsmanship and pleasant nature. He is best known as the fellow who raced across the line for the winning touchdown, or Udribbled down the floor and sank a long shot, or beat the ball to the plate by a foot.
