As the days of summer grew to an end, and the days of fall drew near, the Lassiter Trojan football team prepared for war. Throughout the summer the team put in long hours of hard work and dedication. Ev- ery player exerted as much strength necessary to make the season a winning one. Not only did the team surpass the physical abilities required to make them victorious, they also possessed the mental and emotional requirement. They were aware that be- cause of the bond among them all, they would come out on top. The Lassiter football team consisted of nothing but winners who were satisfied only with victory. The J.V. and Freshmen football teams of Lassiter held great potential. These teams worked and prepared them- selves for their seasons at the side of the Varsity team. The J.V. team prac- ticed many times against the exper- ience of the Varsity. These practices were to their advantage and this was proven with their performances on the field. Both of the teams worked to their greatest ability. They strived to be the best teams in the county, and with the determination that existed within them, they were sure to accom- plish this.
