In the 1987-88 year at Lassiter, fashions had a more conservative looi than the previous years. Female students began grow their hair out from last year ' s short styles in order to achieve long, wavy locks. Skirts were more popular than ever this year, and when pants were worn a common style was folded down and buttoned at the top. Long boots with either skirts or pants were seen constantly at Lassiter. Guys this year sported short, neat cuts with hair slightly longer on top. Generra-type clothing was in vogue for the male students of Lassiter. Docksiders completed the outfits of many males. Both girls and guys rolled up their pant legs and wore socks to match their shirts. Overall, most students put away the highly individualized clothes of last year in order to change to more traditional styles. to

SURVEY SAYS: Women that guys would most like to be strand- ed on an island with: 1) Christy Brink- ley 2) Vanna White 3) Heather Locklear Sometimes it seems like all there is to high school is tests, reports, papers, homework, etc. However, this is not true. Friendship is seen everywhere at Lassiter and most students prize their friendships as highly as their education, maybe even more so. Friends are important to have whether one is mourning over a lost love or having a hard time at school (or with parents). After all, when high school is over, all that remains are memories of good times with friends. A few very special friendships will withstand the passing of time and grow even stronger. Friendship is only one of the things that Lassiter is all about. 208
