Students in Classrooms struggle to finish last minutes assignments in order to lighten their homework load. The last bell rings at 3: 15, disrupting the studious atmosphere. The sound of rattling paper can be heard above the clang of slamming lockers. In hopes of avoiding the dreaded school bus, students eagerly search for rides. The empty parking lot fills in a matter of 10 minutes as a mad rush of impatient teenagers try to escape. Beware: it ' s time for Student Life. Just what is Student Life? Webster defines it as: living, activity, period of usefulness. But, Lassiter High likes to take Student Life one step further. It is not just students at school, it is the total life of the student. i Ujr

Once out of the parking lot, students rush home to begin their day-out of school. Many students go to after school jobs at local grocery stores, malls, or fast food restaurants. Some students head out for a relaxing afternoon with friends. Others are content with going home and catching up on lost hours of sleep, or using their free time to study. Everyone ' s after school activities vary as much as the students themselves. But, regardless of what all of tfi activities are, afternoons are for the students to relax, enjoy themselves, and prepare for another hard day of work here at Lassiter.
