SENIOR HISTORY It is with regret that the class of '38 leaves Lassen Union High. In our freshman year we won the tie-up and were the guests of the other classes at the Freshman reception. The sophomore year was a very successful one. We were victors in the tie- up and followed that by winning the ten dollar prize for selling student body cards. The Sophomore Hop was given as a social event and the girls were very active in basketball. In the junior year our play, He Was a Gay Sef1orita , was one of the high- lights of the year. On March 22 we sponsored a program in assembly and a dance in the gymnasium. The Iunior Prom was an outstanding social event of the school year. The senior year was a busy one. Betty Barry ranked highest in Scholarship while Dorothy Lanigar and Iay Gibson won the Legion Citizenship awards. The Senior play, Growing Pains , given in the gymnasium, attracted one of the largest crowds in history. We sponsored a concession at the I. C. Carnival and gave one program in assembly. The Senior Ball with Dutch decorations of windmills, landscape and a wooden shoe was enjoyed by all. Ditch Day and the Senior Banquet were also events to be remembered. The class wishes to take this opportunity to thank the members of the faculty for their help during the last four years in high school and express their earnest appreciation to Mrs. O'Kelly and Mr. Collyer, their class advisers. The senior gift of a fine stage curtain remains in the school to show the school spirit pos- sessed by the class and their sincere appreciation of what the school has meant to them. e149
