Working to improve LV HS and its student body, the Student Senate meets twice a month to dis- cuss current problems and school situations. This is a group of students whose interests lie in the school and do its best to see that Vegas High is governed properly. During each meeting of the Senate, representatives are given the opportunity to express their opinions as to the matter in ques- tion. They are allowed to present the pros and cons of any proposition or amendment brought before the Senate. After each meeting, a full re- port prepared by the secretary, is read to the homerooms by the representatives. In this man- ner, the student body is kept well-informed as to the actions and decisions of the Senate. This ac- tive group insures a democratic government by giving each student a voice through a homeroom representative. Las Vegas High School is in good hands with the excellent insurance - our Student Senate. Homecoming activities were brightened by the Stu dent Senate Float.
