Problems of utmost importance to the well- being of the school are carefully considered and dealt with during the bi-monthly ses- sions of Student Senate. Fifty-five delegates, each representing one home room, convene with the Student Body officers after school on alternate Monday evenings. Competently led by Barry johnson, they discuss the mat- ters that directly affect the Student Body and democratically review them. Every student in the school participates in the representa- tive form of government so familiar to our nation and indirectly voices his opinion. Social and service activities are not ignored by the Senate. It sponsors many enjoyable dances and an annual carnival, as well as a yearly homecoming float and Thanksgiving baskets. I Thanksgiving baskets were generously filled by homerooms for the Student Senate food drive, -'I9.. During homerooms senators read accurate reports of the Senate meetings from the newly inaugurated Senate Record.
