L . ,Q -. .AN . , .Sw Thus one thought prevails Looking forward we hold our heads high and face the beckoning future Yet, we cannot help pausmg we glance back We remlnlsce over our youthful experiences our moments of uncertamty and of security moments of loy and of sorrow moments of failure and conquest None of these can change it has been written as such A mere pause IS not enough We must stop ponder, review the past We suddenly reahze that we have struggled hard to suc cessfully achieve our present position We have matured The smile that was written on our face has been replaced by somber contemplation We no longer compare the many little disappoint ments we have had with great tragedy There were times when we thought that life was against us Yet, these times have been mvaluable experiences that have added tenacity to our life Through them we have gained a new kind of knowledge not one that can be taught in class nor learned through textbooks. The challenge is before us. We are but instruments ever striving to conquer to overcome the many obstacles which lie in our path. We pry these stones loose revealing our moods attempt ing to understand what produces our ideals. Alone we cannot do this, for there is Someone above us Who controls these in struments.
