With all the extracurricular activities Las Lomas offers . . . sports, dances, clubs, and rallies . . . we tend to forget the real purpose of Las Lomas - to produce well educated students. The school day began with the early morning rush to frrst period to avoid an unexcused tardy. Some days we became engrossed in government seminar discussion groups. Many students engaged in business, art, home economics, or industrial arts classes, while others listened attentively in the lan- guage lab. In spite of the everyday interruption of lunch, brunch, and the final dismissal bell, we were able to acquire some knowledge. And even though we slipped or fell a few times, the result was a worthwhile year. ff si E . fa Q r A Z, Vlgaaa, V E-Q35-Y' 'ali ,Q 1, 'Q 5 it EXERCISE, NOT REST' W 5 mi' E. 5 UNIORS PHOLD TRADITIO S OF EX CELLE CE .W g, ..,f Wg, win ' ' W 1 'lim ALA eg, 54 Nr, 1 'He 'wh qu D4 of . FE 'W 'Ne rf, i a W' 'f-Z , AJ. For the Juniors of Las Lomas, the year '65-'66 has proved to be most rewarding in every way. Hours of hard work, a will to succeed and lots of fun combined to help the Junior Float take First prize. Moonlight 81 Roses , the theme for this year's Junior Prom enabled hundreds to dance among rose trees to the music of the Kings 4. Of course, we must not forget the scholastic part of our junior year. The courses of every student varied but no one can forget those glorious 50 min. spent each day in American History. It's rewarding to know that we will always be able to look back on our junior year as a year of hard work, new experiences and ideas and a lot of fun. 57 President Phil Terry Vice President Pete Katz l Donna Ahern Larry Alderson Jeanne Allasia Tassos Anastasou 2 Paul Anderberg Lindsey Arnold Ward Allred - P lam 'KIM err F X55 Kris Atwater Sue Black Mary Blasquez Claude Bobba Gerry Boehrer Nancy Bowie janet Bowman Mike Boyd Rick Branum 4 N .sky Lzzfa- ,Q X i i rw, J fi f 'l A b .yh N , f' fx -g f XF ' ' f-:vi -::f 55 Q junior Council ,f .w , 3 'lk I K V - U . Living as a student among you I could see the United States as Americans dog I could enlarge my horizon by getting to know another people, their way of thinking, and their way of seeing things, one of the greatest experiences somebody can have. ' In trying to see what the Americans and their country are like, you were representatives for me. The marvellous spirit of Las Lomas, something I have never experienced before, has passed over to me as to all of you and it will stay and, hopefully grow in us. Thank you so much.
