DEAN OF GIRLS The Las Lomas Code of Ethics is particularly sig- nificant tor our school, Although it is printed on the back oi the Knights' Guide, and copies are posted in each classroom l would like to repeat the key words adopted by our students: Loyalty, Attitude, Scholar- ship, Leadership, Obligation, Maturity, Appreciation, and Sportsmanship. These goals may seem high, but the students are working earnestly to achieve them. The first, that of Loyalty, includes most of the others in a broad sense. There is truly a fine spirit of loyalty on the part ot our student body to the school and to those principles for which it stands, The students display pride in Las Lomas and the parents and faculty are proud of the students and oi their excellent attitudes and achievements. lt is our hope that the seniors will attain future suc- cess and that they will carry on with the fine loyalty shown here. lt is also our feeling that the other students will continue to enjoy and contribute to the excellent spirit at Las Lomas. KATHRYN TAYLOR DEAN OF BOYS Time passes quickly. The year 1956-1957 has seen a great period oi consolidation in the traditions that have become Las Lomas High School during the past six years. We have become, in this short span of years, a powerful influence upon those about us in all phases of the school environment. In order to pre- serve our place, it is the moral obligation of each student to make a success of today and then we need not worry about tomorrow. We repeat, time passes quickly. There is nothing we can do about it as in- dividuals except to see as far as possible that it passes truitiully. Each and every one oi us must always l.eep in mind during our daily endeavors for ourselves and Las Lomas that, whether we will it or not we cannot iourney without leaving footprints, and others will follow where we go because we have marked the way. Mr. Gordon Gibson, Mr. Robert Rowe, Mr. Merrill Callow, Mr. Burk Faraola, Miss Melissa Rose, Mr. Iumes Norton, Head Counselor.
