As never before, education is essential to the realization of the new frontiers our exciting present has brought to us and will be essential to their exploration. The very forces which have been discovered have made possible achievements un- dreamed of in an earlier age. To keep pace, we at Las Cruces High School turn our attention not only toward greater scientific achievement but also toward greater social achievement consistent with goals accepted through mutual understanding and agreement. We in the United States have a tradition of sharing. Our country is populated by a diversity of ethnic groups representing many races, many creeds, and many cultures of mankind. Thus in a sense each of these is part of usp we are part of each of them. Through education we seek to achieve a unity out of diverseness. We cannot forget our kinship with diverse peoples and our debt to diverse cultures. THE REALITIES OF THE PRESENT.
