glass lfistozy We started the freshman year with thirty-three members. Twenty were from Larwill. They were: Leola Brunner, Orin Cummins, Steven Duggins, Dewoyne Fox, Joyce Jenkins, Lawrence Keirn, Patty Long, Elizabeth Miller, Patty Reeg, Marilyn Repp, Hal Trump, Gale Weybright, Donna Wilkinson, Donna Wolfe, Donald Rubrake, Jay Mathews, Erwin Mitchell, Kenneth Boner, Deloris Helblig, Verna Cole, and Junior Shirey. Ten came from Etna-Troy. They were: Kay Coyle, Nancy Eber, Carl Gebert, Jean Keiser, Jerry Terman, Glenna Witmer, Keith Nichols, Star Rosenogle, and Florence Leedy. Dean Blanchard came from Columbia Township, Diane Wilson came from Brook, Indiana and Dorris Ewers came from Eminence, lndiana. Class officers were elected for the four years. They were: Diana, president, Carl, vice-president, Donna Wilkinson, secretary and treasurer, Starr, reporter. Mr. Norman Jarboe was class sponsor. Verna left us during the freshman year. Our first semester party was held at the schoolhouse. Diana was Riley Basketball queen candidate. We began our sophomore year with twenty-nine members. Billy Sroufe joined the class and Erwin moved to Bippus. Kenneth and Florence, withdrew from school. Starr went to Columbia City School and Kay went to Coesse. Jay and Donald moved and DeWayne and Billy withdrew during the year. Patty L. was elected as reporter to replace Starr. The class chose gray and red for the class colors, white rose for the class flower, and lf We Rest We Rust for our class motto. Two parties were held during the year at Diane and Marilyn's homes. Our class sponsor was Mr. George Haley. Leola was Riley Basketball queen candidate. Our iunior year began with twenty-one members. Marilyn moved to California during the summer and Deloris and Keith withdrew. Donna Wolfe quit to get married during the first semester. Our second semester class party was held at Patty L.'s home. Miss Reba Stemen was our class sponsor. Dorris Ewers was our Riley Basketball queen candidate. Our iunior class play, The Groom Said No , was directed by Miss Reba Stemen. The Junior and Senior Prom was held at the Van Orman Hotel in Fort Wayne, on May 8. We began our senior year with twenty members. Junior moved to Mentone and Carol Thomas ioined us from Fairmount. Our senior class play No More Homework , was directed by Mrs. Hood. Patty L. and Hal were crowned Basketball Queen and King. A hayride was held at Hal's home the first semester. Mr. Absalom Wilson was our class sponsor. Money- making proiects during the four years were: Class plays, fish frys, sweat shirt sales, magazine and stationery sales, a dance and a bake sale. We left on our senior trip May l5 from Warsaw by train. The six day trip included a tour through Washington D. C. and New York. Senior Sunday Service was held May 22, Class Night, May 23, and graduation was held on May 24. I5

I, Jerry Terman, will my ability to be sick during school to Fred Cornelius. I, Carol Thomas, being of questionable mind but sound body, will my ability to stay foot-loose and fancy-free to Mrs. Janet Jennings IShatzerl . She sure could use a lot of it. I, Hal Trump, will Room I58 to anyone who wants it. l, Gale Weybright, will my ability to stay out of trouble to Otto Boggs. I, Donna Wilkinson, will my ability of making Civic's flyers to anybody who wants to do it, IShoemaker for instancel. I, Diane Wilson, will my ability to be yell leader to Gary Johnson. I, Glenna Witmer, will my ability to be President of SSS to Jim Brown. We, the senior class of I955, will our ability to get along so nicely with Fern to the Juniors.
