He is carrying a little black box with Eim.' In school, he was always talking about being a vet- erinarian--probably has the little black box in case of an emergency call. sWWhat's that? Youfre not a Doctor? A shoe Shiner in the lobby of the Waldorf-Astoria.N Keep them shining, Dick--you sure had us fooled. - Sounds like a car driving up. Perhaps moreaafour classmates arriving. It looks like a taxi from the Lynch Checkered Cab Company. Lyle Lvnch as you know, is the owner of the great concern, call PUSHUP 1-2-3-4, We're glad that Lyle brought some of our classmates with him. There is Betty Walgeck and her newly acquired husband, Les. They have just rocketed back from Mars, where they have been raising Uranium beams for the Air Rocket Force. Stepping from the taxi is another distinguished member of our classg Father Leolan Pressler, Since graduation from the Cemetery, he has been a missionary in the wilds of Aus- tralia. PROPH CY OF THE CLASS OF 1949 nce upon a time there was a class at Larwill High called The Class of '49. But that was a long time ago. It is now 50 years later, in 1999, 'and the '49ers are having their an ual class reunion. We kN,w.,fjare gathered on the site where gold'was discovered-- a gold fnling from someones tooth. Everyone is roasting hot dogs, toasting marshmallows, telling stories, and reminiscing. The man standing on the soap box giving the loud oration is just Sheldon Mgggg. He is running for United States Senator from Indiana. He has been trying to get elected for the last 20 years. It could be, one of the Larwill boys will filibuster in Congress yet. My, I wonder who that poor, weatherbeaten, old man is, with the long white beard? He surely doesn't belongilmthis class reunion. Why, yes, he does. It is Dwight Dgeter--guess he gave up shaving altogether. Because of his undying ambition and prompt punctuality in school, he has been anightlatchman for a Burlesque Show for 30 years. I'll agree, he's seen many changes in those years. Remember those four girls that used to chum around together in school? There was Connie Smith, Lglg gygrs, Hartman, Marlouise gchuh, and Vega Fritz. They ares tting over there by the fire toasting marshmallows. Let's go over and see what they've been doing all these years. Connie .tells us she is a successful radio and recording artist. Her stage name is nHillvBill1e-M1llie,W Yogg favorite ginger gf the homespun ballads America loves best. You'd hardly recognize Lois--she has lost her school girl figure, and she is pretty busy with that family of 515 child- ren. Her ambition was to have a large family--we never dreamed how large it would be. The lady in the long, mannish-ill-fitting dresszlsharlouise. She is a Home Economics Teacher at Larwill Abnormal College. It se ms she could never get away from the long-styled clothes of Senior Days. ' Vera has just confessed that she is the author who writes those horror-love-imagination thrillers. that the teachers take away from students, mothers burn and ministers preach about- all under another name of course. CYou can see why this prophecy is as it isj. That peroxide blonde with the frizzled hair is Betiy Bghn- stedt. She has lost her eyesight from a wreck, several years ago, in her high-powered limousine. She is being helped around by her seeing-eye rooster, Crusoe. Lately she has been touring the country giving lectures on Uwhy Should You Be Rich, When You Have To Pay Income Tax?N

models hair. Gene is a photographer specializing in models in Chinese bathing suits. , If anyone has the inclination to get married, step right this way--Justice of the Peace, Noel Medley, is with us. He always was romantically inclined, and now manages a harem. Lola Qgy Western came to the reunion. I would think that Lola, having lifed in the White House all these years, would hardly consider a class reunion an affair that would require her presence. After all, being chief scrub woman in the President's Mansion is quite a noble line of work, Margaret Marker, on the other hand, is in quite a different kind of work. She has been doing extensive research in Washington for her new book, NThe Practical Way To Study Civics.W During her Senior year, she was getting many ideas on how the new book should be written, That poor, stooped old man with the red toupee, certainly looks familar. Why, of course, that is Charles Hel-rtzfeiman, gr. He's been a street cleaner in Charleston, West Virginia since he graduated from school. He has tried innumerable times to be promoted to sidewalk cleaner, but can never quite make the curb. Here comes Hgnnie Wolfe and Lynn K,1j,ngama.n. up from the beach, after a vigorous swim. Lynn had decided to live a hermit's life. It must give him much joy to be alone, he is operat- ing a filling station in the midst of Death Valley. Ronnie Wolfe is playing character parts in the movies. At the Senior Class Play, a talent scout heard him and signed him, with the Sure Failing Studios, with a life time contract. The happily married couple doing the new fangled dance is the former Barbara Kistler and her midget husband. They met while Barbara was chief cook and bottle washer in a lumber camp in the North Woods. Her husband was a tree-topper. Who makes the blood curdling scream in the ,midd1e.of. the night? Whose shadow moves in the moonlight? Lockycurdcor-- NThe Beast With Ten Bloody Fingersn is on the prowl. This is the opening speech of the thriller-diller-killer-mystery- murder Albert of the Digger on the radio. HFrankensteinH Beast Murderer O'White, alias It stars two members of this class Bohnstedt, who plays the leading role His bloody right-hand assistant is .Robert White. He is the friendly grave- digger, whose favorite motto is, HMy work begins,,when'your life endsn. ' Over by the rock flexing his muscles, is Richard, WThe Turtle TameruSchuman. Soon after he finished school he captured the famous 'Busco Turtle. It was twice as large as had been anticipated and became quite an attraction. That accounts for 28 of the original Class of '49, but where is our missing member? Listen' I hear the soft bray of donkeys coming along Fpetraiii That must be Grace Strattan.
