SOPHOMORE CLASS HISTORY We the Sophomores, consit of thirty-one members. fdat the beginning of 1940 there were thirty-one members, 'ending with thirty-four members in the spring of 1941. At the beginning of the fall term those missing were Vera Cripe and Pauline Firestone, who quit schoolg Priscillae Mettler and Helen Leffel who both moved to Columbia Cityg and Rodger Hodges and Richerd Leutz, who moved away near the end of the year. Net members who were present at the beginning this year were Junior Plattner from South Whitley and John Dunn. Paul Kessie from Columbia City, joined our class in March. Thus the following are in the Sophomore Class: Galen Wilkinson, Lola Lou Werstler, James Watson, Jeanette Walkers, Theodore Trump, Edward Trine, Robert Shroufe, Conrad Smith, Gay Smith, Junior Plattner, Mark Reid, Patricia Phend, Raetta Pace, Dorothy Larrew, Marjorie Julian William Jones, Mara Lee Hill, Lois Gregory, Willadene Heil, June Gebert, Harry Firestone, Paul Eberhard, Blanche Eberhard, William Coyle, Thomas Cornelius, Doris Buntain, Evelyn Brandenburg, Betty Bolyard, John Dunn, Julia Bohnstedt, and Paul Kessie. In Algebra, Lois Gregory and Lola Werstler went to Manchester. Lola Werstler went on to the state contest at Bloomington. In Latin I, Lola Werstler and Lois Gregory went to Fort Wayne in the District, Jeanette Walker is the alternate. President --------------------------- Theodore Trump.
