' 1 1 We are hoping to carry this motto with us throughout our lives. We wish to be alert to opportunities as they're presented to us. We want our response to such opportunities to be given quickly with understanding and appreciation. We desire to be natural in our actions, allowing our own char- acteristics to guide and direct us, We shall never pretend to be what we are not. Lastly we are never going to be flat---we may be down, but never out. -----Jo Ann Miller CQLORSM- We, the Senior Class, of 1940 have chosen the colors of blue and gold for our class colors. Blue stands for brav- ery and gold symbolizes high standards of living. In the future we will strive to keep up our high stand- ards of living when the way seems difficult, and maintain our bravery as we tread down life's rugged highway. e ----- Narilynne Menzie
