tried to teach me. I finally get to the station and who do you suppose I saw? Your right--it was the clerk. I bought my ticket and went outside to wait for the traing I didn't wait long until I heard something coming. No, it wasn't the train, but it was Dayne Wilkinson driving his new Inter- national truck. He had come to meet the train, as his Mother-in-law was coming for a vislt which Dayne was hoping wouldn't last long. At lest the train finally came and I was aboard and in my elect. I was hoping that I'd see some- one that I knew but the hope was all in vain. Believe it or not I really arrived in Florlda and while wondering about town I met Max Krldor going home to supper, and on inquiring I found that he was now a radlo announcer for station O-K. Yes, he invited me to supper and promised to take me to the beach afterward. We had a swell supper, thanks to the former Marjorie Hurd. -While wondering around the beach we came upon n beauty contest and who do you suppose was in it? None other than Martha Marrsl The contest lasted so long that we d1dn't have time to stay and see who won. I guess they were dc- bating whether to give it to Martha or another girl. I stayed at Max's house that night and the next day I went down to the winter training grounds of the New York Wild Cats and of course william Helfrich was in training. After I watched them practice for a day, they put me in mind of wild kittens that didn't have their eyes open. The next day I went to see Herman Steursel. I knew that he was in the Coast Guard. I was beginning to think that I had had enough of Flor- ida and I was also getting homesick, so I took an airplane back to Larwill. We were well on our way when a storm came up. They found it necessary to use the radio to guide them, but all that they could get was Lorraine Groves singing and when they couldn't get that they get Wanda.Lepley con- ducting a quiz on how airplanes are guided in a storm. We finally reached Larwill airport and decided that it would be good to stretch my legs so I started to walk the rest of the way home, and as I passed the hotel who do you suppose I saw? It was none other than Glenna Hoover still playing nursemaid to Teddy Easterday. I finally reached home and be- gan te count up those I had seen and I found that I had seen all my old classmates on my trip, -- - ffatwmd 0'-Wf-
