U, ' I it D0 You Remember? lt's hard to believe that just three short years ago we became the enthusiastic members of the Sophomore class. We elected Erickson, Luft, and Carr. . .we started the year by flubbing our first class yell and ended it by winning the Spirit Jug and promoting class competition. . . remember helping the Seniors paint the hill? Yes, it was a great year, and it was just the first of three of the most enlightening years of our lives. Then we became Juniors. With this step we also became more sure of ourselves. We elected Long, McDonald, and Dirks. . .we chose our class rings. . .we were members of the cast of the first all-school musical, Lil' Abner , and our own class play, Mamie's Getting Married . . .we created a prom never to be equaled, Spring- time in Paris . . Finally we entered our greatest, and most meaningful, year. We were Seniors at last. This was the final step toward our goal, graduation. We elected Martin, Clark, and Urban. . .we painted the hill, on our own this time. . .we crowned two Homecoming Queens, Mary and Susie, and the Chieftain King and Queen, Wayne and Nancy. . .and most important to us, we demonstrated just what PRIDE really means. And, as we look back we have much to be proud of. There are too many memories to list, but the past three years will be remembered wistfully in the years to come by all of us in The Class OfI969
