All interested students in Biology classes are given an opportunity to try their hand at taxidermy. This offers a possibility for a most fascinating hobby in the futu.re. English classes on Freshmen, Sophomore, junior, and Senior levels enable students to improve their writing style, their ability to express themselves orally, and their choice of reading material. Through the Auto Mechanics classes, boys learn the theory of internal combustion engines as well as the practical side of repair. As much as possible the boys are urged to furnish their own cars or tractors for maintenance work. That they may grasp the opportunities in business positions, many students avail them- selves of Typing. 'Iwo years in Typing classes afford them the speed and accuracy demanded in business. Physical sciences, such as Physics and Chemistry, are most practical for those who are planning college entrance or some other type of advanced training such as the field of nursing. Classes in llome liconomics are especially recommended for the girls. Through these classes they study foods. clothing, and home management. Occasionally, they enioy a formal meal together to experience table settings, eating in a formal atmosphere, and SCFVIIIIQ. .Xll boys who ure so inclined may learn the fundamentals of furniture building, repair, and refinishing. lt is R1 common sight to see ledroom suites, chests of drawers, cedar chests. lamps. .mtl desks at the spring exhibit. an in-.W an 'Q fi 1-1-lf 1 1 qv? 4 ,..- , W as 4-- ff! 3.-'- J -rfv,-,JJ-,r.w.v.w '42 is E15 EEE .Q PE: :E Numa The G 0C .3 'B-4 THANKS T0 0UR .PA TIl0JVS The Chieftain staff is truly appreciative to the firms for their support of the 1952 yearbook. therefore, want to give them recognition by dedicating this page to them.
