Fashions 'So Fads were wild and crazy once again. Those who felt fads were restricted to either girls or guys were strongly mistaken when a fairshare of guys joined in with the girls and displayed earrings which ranged from dangling gold crosses to tiny diamond studs. Along with the earrings were the flashy but stylish collar pins which were wom with about everything from oversized sweaters to simple everyday blouses. Sunglasses were another big item throughout the year: they were wom constantly indoors and out in both the daytime and night. In addition, stirrup pants, colored from black to bright and saucy paisleys, were combined with short sweaters and long blouses hanging out casually. As soon as the weather grew warmer, or at least once the snow storms subsided, many were more than eager to show oft the newly styled long Hawaiian shorts. The shorts were spectacular when it came to being bold and sporty wherever they were wom. Hair could have been described with such words as short, spiked, shaved, and anything considered punk. Fads made the year completely outrageous and fun. Swatches add color and pizazz to Larkin High School. Angie Burke finds that collar pins add a touch of style to her wardrobe. 18 l
