I T 0 PERSUNAL STYLE, THE jLAST WURD IN FASHION Each individual has his own personal style when it came to displaying his individuality. We expressed ourselves through the clothes we wore and the things we did. Many of the fads at Larkin came from England. Bright, bold, colorful outfits were worn by many. Neon colors were a big hit when worn with basic black. The oversized sweater was coordi- nated with colors ranging from light pastels to bright neon greens. Shirts were seen with scribbles and geometric shapes. Mickey Mouse was seen throughout the school during the spring. He appeared on clothing ranging from shirts to dresses. The 'baggy style jean was also part of this year's fad craze. Short hairstyles with long tails in the back were seen almost everywhere. Rhinestone jewelry was worn by many because of the singer Madonna. The game of Trivia Pursuit became one of our favorite pastimes with editions ranging from the genius edition, to sports, to the baby- boomer. Overall, this year consisted of many styles which were different from the old trends to which we had become accustomed. The last word in fashion was that preppy was out and punk was in. Oversized shirts and cropped jeans are worn by many. 16 FADS The SWATCH Watch adds color and fun to our time
