Next we Journey to Spokane where we find Ardythe Knutson owner of the shlpbulldxng Co there and who s that handsome prrvate secretary none other than Tracy Thompson He never made lt out to sea but he s happy on hrs boss knee We can t wait to get back to Larrmore so we hop a plane, and before we know it we re there The frrst person we ran rnto was John Landman and since Doc Elsenlohr s retirement he rs Larrmore s veterln arran now Also ln Lanmore we find Eleanor Svedbarg marrled to Eugene Hassel and managrng her own lrttle independent team Outslde of Larlmore we fmd another classmate Janet Flsher happlly marrled to Charlre Nissen and ralslng a bunch of l1ttle Nusins OOPS we mean Ntssens We stop to have dxnner wrth Ronnle Roch who has taken over the old home place Our advrce to hlm was to get marrled quxck before the solrtude or hrs own cooklng gets the best of him Once more we start on our Journey east when the bus breaks down Forttmately II was close to Arvrlla and we had rt repatred at the one and only garage there The owner turned out to be Jerry Srnclarr wrth Shtrley Paupst as chief mechanrc Between the two of them the bus was workrng ln no time Just as we were about to leave however Mrs Sxnclalr the former Loretta Wrlllams poked her head rn the door checkxng up on her happy hubby So we chatted with her awhrle and she told us Darlene Wright was marrred to Dtckre Aamot now and they lrve on a farm not far from here Next stop was Grand Forks where we found Kenneth Day Professor rn the chemtstry lab at the U N D We hadn t seen the U for years, so he agreed to take us on a tour One of the frrst stops was Dletrcts Dept where Charlotte Saunders has really scored a hrt Next the glrls gym where we fmd Beverly Boman raclung her brarn for more backbreakingexerclse for her Phy Ed class She s 1n cahoots wrth Sh1r1eyA Peterson, school nurse which has turned out to be a very profrtable business for them both And last but not least we ftnd Lyla Nelson who besides berng the Englxsh teacher LS also the Dean of Women She really has a full trme Job From here we go to Fargo S1nce we only had a short stop we dectded to go srghtseerng It wasn t long before we met Anna Marre Rertan oh pardon us we mean Mrs Marvm Meyer now peacefully IIVIHS rn Fargo where her husband teaches Ag at the A C As we arrlve at the bus depot for what seemed to be the umteenth t1me we notlced that the depot agent look ed fam111ar And sure enough it was none other than Donald Eastlund who s doxng very well for hrmself We re now on our way to Mmneapolts where we ll stop overnrght We ve certarnly covered a lot of terrrtory today Upon arrrvmgwe stopped for a cup of coffee mthe termmal and as we glance across the street what should be standing out in brg neon lrghts but Now showing Jackxe Splllum rn the Mean Wrddle Kld We rnqulre fur ther and fmd Jackre Just substituting for Red Skelton who finally ran out of Jokes and found Jackle Just too good to pass up Wlth a few hours tlme on our hands we decrded to take in a Laker s game We were told Don Bommersbach rs dolng a fme Job as captain of the team wrth Clayton Smrth backlng him up And of course we can t forget Floyd Lawson better known as Bucky, the bucket boy Aftera good night s rest l awoke with a slightly swollen Jaw On closer lnspectlon lt proved to be a toothache so I proceeded to fmd a denust I rang room servlce and who should answer but Marlene Holweger She dtrected me to the thlrd floor where upon enterrng a room we found Vada Solseng recepuontst for the noted dentlst Tom my Serene After gettrng polrshed up we caught the bus for Chicago lt was somewhat out of our way, but we wanted to see a game there between Mrchlgan State and the Illrnors U srnce we heard that speed demon Cecrl Hansel was playmg fullback for MlCh1g3U Can t you Just see Mrs Hansel nee Janrce Morstad, s1tt1ng wrth her own lrttle cheerxng sectlon m the bleachers?
