'Q Seneca Sccmmafzq We sen1ors of 1952 could well be named the '20 and 8 for out of our Z8 class members exactly twenty are g1rls and elght are boys It IS mterestmg to note that 85 per cent of the class that started w1th us as freshmen are graduat1ng th1s spr1ng a per centage wh1ch Mr Rextan tells us 15 con s1dered h1gh We were green then and we'll admxt It readlly now but 1n our freshman days lt was a d1fferent story we were 'frosh clear through but we d1,dn't want anyone else to know xt We launched out 1nto h1gh school lmfe as a class when we gave the Sophomore Return Party Later that fall durmg the carmval one of our g1rls was chosen as 'Carmval Queen ' We also had a football letterman that year a fact that gave us lmmense pr1de for we were grow1ng up' Turn about 15 falr play the old say1ng goes and 1n our sophomore year 1t was our turn to do rather than take the 1n1t1at1ng We d1d our part to 1n1t1ate the Class of '53 1nto h1gh school hfe' That year an lnterest 1n mus1c wh1ch has stuck w1th us throughout h1gh school began to crop up In our Jumor year we began do1ng tlungs on a class co f r the presentatlon of our class play 'Seventeenth Summer We sponsored the annual Junlor Senlor Banquet and Prom us1ng the theme Deep Purple Aga1n that year one of our g1rls was elected Carn1val Queen ' F1nally but qulckly we became SEDIOTS W1th the fman c1al backmg of the commerc1al club we gave the trad1t1onal Halloween Party Dur1ng football season we had four letter men and later boasted four men on the basketball team At the spr1ng mus1cfest1val the class reached 1t's peak 1n muslcal representauves Our class play a mystery comedy ent1tled N1ne G1rls was presented 1n May The class trxp was a wonderful 3 day outmg to W1nnepeg May Z5 marked baccalaureate and then w1th only 4 days left 't1l graduatlon the m1nutes fa1rly flew' Graduat1on was the day Wh1Ch we had all looked forward to for years but as we walked up to TCCCIVC our dlplomas we shed a secret tear real1z1ng that our h1gh school days and all they meant had truly come to an end Once aga1n we were 1nd1v1duals each choos1ng a new path T e wheel has turned full c1rcle 6 ' I II , , .
